Privacy Policy
Retro Darts Scorer · Last updated 30 October 2026
This policy explains how the Retro Darts Scorer mobile app handles information. The app is operated by Wilfred Grainger (“the publisher”).
Information in the app
The app does not send match or account information to the publisher. It has no account, sign-in, cloud backup, advertising, analytics, or app server.
Team names, match settings, scores, the current match, and saved match history are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. The app does not collect these details remotely or share them with the publisher.
The app uses this information locally to provide the scoring and match-history features you choose. The publisher’s lawful basis for this local processing is that it is necessary to provide the app functionality you have chosen to use (performance of the app agreement).
The app does not request your name, email address, contacts, location, or other personal information to score a match. It does not use tracking or advertising identifiers.
Exports and sharing
You can choose to export a match as a PDF or a recovery copy as JSON. When you choose Share, the operating system shows available apps and destinations. The file is sent only to the destination you select; that destination’s provider then handles it under its own privacy terms.
Storage, deletion, and device loss
Match data stays in the app’s private storage until you delete a saved match, replace the current match, or remove the app. The app excludes its saved games from automatic device and cloud backups. Uninstalling the app, losing the device, or device failure may permanently remove saved matches. Reinstalling the paid app restores access to the app through Google Play, but does not restore local match records. Export a copy if you want to keep one separately.
Purchases
Google Play processes the app purchase and related payment information. The app does not access or store payment-card details. Google explains how it handles information through its privacy policy.
Support messages
If you email [email protected], the publisher receives your email address, message, and any other details you choose to include. They are used to respond to your support request. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to the publisher’s Google Gmail inbox. Cloudflare and Google are global services and may process information outside the UK; their privacy information and privacy policy describe their handling and transfer arrangements. Do not include sensitive information that is not needed to answer your request.
The publisher’s lawful basis for handling support messages is legitimate interests: responding to support requests and keeping a limited record of the response.
Resolved support emails will be deleted 12 months after resolution, unless they need to be kept longer to handle a further request or meet a legal obligation.
Your data protection rights
You can contact the publisher at [email protected] to ask about personal information in a support message. Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to it, correct it, ask for it to be erased or restricted, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive it in a portable form where that right applies. These rights are subject to legal conditions.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Children and teenagers
The app is intended for people aged 13 and older. It does not ask for a user’s age or send match or account information from the app to the publisher. If a user emails support, the support-message handling described above applies.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s information practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed version is released. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
